Representative Partnerships
»Ministry of Community Development and Social Services
Zambia Research and Development Centre (ZRDC) is working in
collaboration with the Ministry of Community Development and Social
Services in many projects. We signed the MoU with MCDSS on the
implementation of social projects, in particular the Community Based
Monitoring System (CBMS) for poverty reduction, sustainable
development and sanitation in the rural areas of Lusaka province.
The two parties agreed to share research findings, collaborate and
share experiences in the field. ZRDC conducts specially tailored
workshops for the officials in the ministry that will make
collaboration and exchange of notes very effective. District and sub
district staff officers are the targets for these workshops.
»Ministry of Education
ZRDC is working in close cooperation with the ministry of education
to cultivate the culture of engineering in Basic and High Schools.
This project establishes Engineering Information Access Centers in
schools and conducts a mentoring program to encourage student
participation in engineering careers.
»Ministry of Science, Technology and Vocational Training (MSTVT)
ZRDC is also working in close collaboration with the ministry of
science, technology and vocational training to strengthen scientific
research and technology in Zambia. Realizing that Science and
Technology is a cardinal tool that has been neglected in the cause
for national development, ZRDC and MSTVT have pledged to create an
enabling environment for development through human capacity building
in basic sciences and engineering fields.
»Office of the President- Lusaka Province
